The PowerTrak has a type of motor which is designed to run very fast and is geared down to a suitable speed for the blade. As the blade encounters drag from the grass it is cutting, it naturally slows down, but it does not stall because the motor actually delivers more torque. So, though it is designed mainly for lawns, it can cut quite rough grass and even thistles and other weeds.
