The new range of Rotak mowers are something special. Their type of motor is designed to run very fast and is geared down to a suitable speed for the blade. As the blade encounters drag from the grass it is cutting, it naturally slows down, but it does not stall because the motor actually delivers more torque. So Rotaks can cut rough grass and even thistles and other weeds. You can even tackle a length of 30cm (12inches)! Try that with everyday electric mowers and the likely result is a hot smell.

The cutting deck is slightly wider than the wheel span, and it is fitted with the new Bosch guide combs. This means that you can mow right up to an edge without leaving an annoying uncut band; and it means a higher quality of cut.

This model has a full-width switch bar on the handle, allowing you to hold it with either hand and even when standing to one side in awkward places. This machine is very similar to the Rotak 40 but can cut a width of nearly 17 inches.
