ATCO has been a famous name in mowers for over 80 years. The Balmoral is a real de-luxe machine: quiet, smooth ..and of course it leaves a truly beautiful striped cut. This mower has the clever QX cassette system, which means that you can lift out the cutting cylinder without dismantling. That allows easy regrinding; or you can fit either of two optional accessories.

One accessory is a ten blade cutting cylinder which turns the mowing performance into that found on golf or bowling greens. The other is a scarifier, which scratches thatch out of your turf, giving it a new lease of life and health. The cassette system is known as QX, for Quick Exchange.

For longer grass, you can attach the supplied side wheels. A spring tine comb lifts the grass before cutting, so none is missed. The front roller is stainless steel, and the rear roller is split for easy manoeuvring.

The Balmoral is controlled by a three-way drive facility: you can drive forward and mow; or you can disengage the blades but still move forwards; or you can run the blades but push the machine into awkward corners.

This mower is a delight to use, especially with its electric starter.
