The Concorde has been the best selling cylinder mower since 1971 and is now even better following a redesign.
Cylinder mowers slice grass like scissors, so they need less powerful motors than rotaries. This model has 4 blades on its cylinder and slices against a renewable bottom blade. The rear roller, of course, presses the grass in one direction, leaving the traditional stripes for which British lawns are famous. Electric mowers are much quieter than ones with petrol engines.
