The revolutionary design of the Spirit mower range introduces an aluminium skeleton chassis into the construction with tough plastic formed covers and underdeck. The lightweight aluminium chassis adds robustness to this light and manoeuvrable lawn mower and continues the Hayter tradition of producing tough durable machines.

All key components requiring strength are securely mounted to the aluminium chassis - these include the engine, handlebars, grassbag, height of cut adjustment mechanism, rear roller, gearbox assembly and front wheel axle. To reduce weight the remainder of the machine is made of high impact resistant ABS polymer.

A unique friction disc is fitted between the engine and the blade bar so that the blade will slip if it hits a solid object. Hayter are so confident that this will save the crankshaft from bending (a very expensive procedure if it happens) that they give a lifetime guarantee.

The grass bag can be lifted out between the handlebars for easy emptying. The ribbed rear roller imprints smart stripes onto the lawn and allows the machine to overhang a border edge.
