STIHL ADVANCE FORESTRY WORK CLOTHING
This range has chainsaw protection built in, except for one of the two jackets. The special material used is the lightest and most modern of the Stihl products.

  • How chainsaw protection works. The garment lining is made from layers of light, long fibres. If a saw cuts the fabric, it draws in bundles of fibres which quickly clog and stop the chain. The system will reduce injury, but nothing can provide total protection.
  • Two alternative levels of protection exist
    (for the 'Advance' range, Design A applies).
    Design A is for normal forestry by trained workers. Legs are protected at the front.
    Design C is for persons not normally working with chainsaws or for exceptional circumstances. Legs are protected at front and rear. A jacket with the protection system is also recommended.
  • Fabric qualities. This clothing is exceptionally light and flexible, allowing a close and comfortable fit. The highly elastic outer fabric mix is 97% polyamide and 3% Lycra.
  • Jackets with or without chainsaw protection.
    Bib & brace trousers Design A protection. Has zipped hip pocket, thigh pocket and double tool pocket. Also a radio/mobile pocket. Fitted with elasticated waist band and extra wide braces.

'Advance' forestry wear  in black, grey and orange. This family of jackets is cheaper as it does not have chainsaw protection, so please pick the other 'Advance' jacket if you want protection.
